Let's dive into networking, shall we

I thought I'd dedicate this week to some posts on networking. There didn't seem to be any point in defining the term as most of us are quite familiar with it. However, I've noticed that many people actually have a block about it. Our beliefs sometimes get in the way of doing things that people without those beliefs do quite naturally.

Also, networking in the 21st century has pretty voluminous implications because we have such advanced forms of communication, but it's likely that this hasn't helped the same people get over the feeling of it being rather unnatural and mechanical.

So I must ask, do you find any of these beliefs getting in the way of you connecting with others? I'd love to hear your views on the same.
